Executing the best strategy for scaling up can prove challenging. Collective Workshop Leaders: experience shows that the most common and difficult challenges encountered during flow process scaleups are particle formation, liquid/ liquid separation, agitation, and the presence of trace impurities. This workshop will focus on the best approach when you are scaling up from a lab setting to a manufacturing process.
It will specifically focus on:
- Appropriate strategy to implement before you starts scale up
- Selection of the right equipment: pumps, reactors, tubing
- Setting up of the relevant equipment (including modular set ups)
- Preventing common challenges e.g., clogging
- Reduction of waste
- Reusing materials
